Cervical polypectomy

Symptomatic or visible cervical polyp.

Steps

  1. Speculum; grasp polyp base with polyp or sponge forceps.
  2. Twist until it detaches.
  3. Silver nitrate to the base.
  4. Send for histology.
Broad or high base: hysteroscopic removal.
