- Consent; group & save (anti-D only if ≥12+0 weeks and RhD-negative — NICE 2026).
- Optional cervical priming: misoprostol before procedure.
- Lithotomy; speculum; vulsellum.
- Dilate to roughly the gestation in weeks (mm).
- Suction curette of matching size; apply suction.
- Rotate and move in–out until gritty and no more tissue.
- Oxytocic if bleeding; tissue to histology.
