| Anterior fontanelle | Diamond, ~3 × 3 cm, 4 sutures; closes ~18 months. |
| Posterior fontanelle | Triangular (Y), small, 3 sutures. |
Posterior fontanelle central and easily felt = well flexed. Anterior fontanelle easily felt = deflexed.
